I don't think I will ever stop calling them my two babies. Even when I'm old and grey holding my own grandkids... How weird would that be!

But they are growing up so fast! Haydn is becoming a pink loving, dress wearing, girly girl that she must have picked up from somewhere cause I swear she didn't get it from me! As soon as Jp gets home from work, she runs and gives him a hug and is so curious to know if he came from work and how it was cause apparently... I don't work according to her... Oh man, does she have things backwards!

And Zoe is movin, climbin, and starting to adore her older sister like they've been old pals for years! If Zoë had the will power to forfeit naps, she would watch Haydn like it was a 24 hours movie and copy her every move. I wonder how it's going to be when they start fighting! Eeks!

Haydn got this mini New York set from True and Brave her very first Christmas. I loved it so much, I knew it was more of a display piece than a toy Haydn would use for her future barbies. Auntie Nina gave her the New York book right under it. They are just perfect for Haydn's room.

Zoë's room is a lot more girly than Haydn's. It has all the main things, just needs some extra things here and there and her room is pretty much done :). She doesn't really care about room decor though, just toys toys and more toys.

Room Decor: A Work In Process

I've been wanting to decorate the girl's rooms for such a long time but never had a room to decorate. Knowing both girls were going to have their own room, ideas were just stirring up and I'm so thankful I can hang their coming home outfits. They are so small and can fit on almost all of Haydn's dolls but now on display in their rooms. Zoë's is the yellow one with the tiny belt. It was from the Long Beach Antique Market and I think I was only 3 months pregnant when we bought it. Going to Flea Markets with the Quinal's is always fun! The pink one is Haydn's and it was a gift from Auntie Nissy which according to Haydn is always sleeping!!! Auntie Nissy works the PM shift so she is usually sleeping when we visit. I love Tea! Remembering when I put it on her seems just like yesterday... She was swimming in it! Haha! But I was so glad she came home in that! I will never get rid of these outfits and hopefully their kids can wear them too!

Yoga

It was a good morning and quite productive. I was able to clean and get ready for day two of Yoga! It feels so incredible to stretch and sweat! The only time I really worked out was when I was getting married and well... four years and two kids later... it was time! Zoë was playing in the ocean...

But got bored after 2 minutes! haha... but it was a good 2 minutes of holding a pose :)

Time to clean up, shower, and get Haydn ready for her nap. I already feel my body remembering the lost muscles we haven't used in awhile! Maybe P90X tomorrow. P90X makes me nervous!!!

Haydn got all ready to go to work (school) to take care of the animals (her classmates)!

When I came back with the camera, I was too late, but all her friends were dressed as zoo animals and Haydn was the zoo keeper!!! Not planned either! One of the other mommy's is gonna give me the pictures. Once I get them, I'll show them to you :).

Pumpkin Patch

After the football game, Haydn and I went to John's Incredible Pizza to celebrate Evan's 3rd bithday, but I forgot my camera :( But for Michelle's bday she wanted to go to the Pumpkin Patch, so Tanaka Farms we went, and this place was huge! We will definitely be back next year! Our first time at a Pumpkin Patch but definitely not our last.

Haydn had fun.... but she is a clean little girl so she didn't want to touch any of the dirty pumpkins! So weird! So she picked out so nice clean ones :)

Zoe practically slept the whole time. As expected.

After the pumpkin patch, we had the best Ramen ever in Irvine... Long day, kids went to bed early, and Jp and I got some much needed rest!

Saturday Fun Day

This day was jam packed with so much fun! Early morning. Jp went to golf with Joe, so the girls and I went to our good friends football game, and it was super cute! She was so shy at first but warmed up :)

We basically lounge all day! Haha. I wouldn't saying having two kids is hard, just very tiring. We nap together and that's always nice. Haydn has always been a good napper and so is Zoë. Haydn takes 2-2hour naps and Zoe just sleeps :)

Boy where has my days gone! Sleep deprivation has set in but weird to say I'm used to not getting more than 3 hours of sleep at a time. She was born 8 lbs 2 Oz ... but boy has she changed! This was her on her 2nd day. She was swollen still here but went down tremendously!

And this is her now!!! 3 weeks old! She had her first Dr's app at 3 weeks cause I totally forgot about her 2 week app. Apparently my brain is not functioning normally. It doesn't function properly as it is, but having another baby and no sleep. Disastrous!

I love my baby girl and Haydn loves being a big sister. She can't enough kisses of her and is so concerned when she cries! It so adorable. Haydn loves to burp and feed her. Apparently Haydn is ready for motherhood. ha ha! She even puts on my nursing cover and tries to pump!!! Praise God she is adjusting so well to having another one in the house and is so patient with me and Zoë.

Zoë now... here goes... 9 lbs 10Oz!!!! Wowzers!!! I know... She is one solid baby girl.. ha ha!

Family of Four

Has it been more than a week already since we gave birth to Zoe Addison! OMG... It has! Boy does time fly. Let me just say, it was another amazing time and experience with the Epidural. We were together again working together to help relieve the pain which is still called Laboring. It is no easy task but this time around, it only lasted hours as opposed to on and off for a whole week!

Majority of my pain from the contractions with Zoe were just in the front of my belly. With Haydn, they were in my belly and back and traveled down to my thighs. Crazy.

I have a lot of adjusting to do and Haydn is doing really well being a big sister. She is very patient and just waits till I'm done feeding or changing Zoe before its her turn to cuddle. Although I do miss just having my day with Haydn, I'm sure I am going to love the adventure of being with little Owen and little Jp. (I totally see Jp in Zoe)

Well, cheers to being a family of four :)

More pictures from our much needed stop. Prior to half way to Seattle, we stopped over at Fire on the Mountain and well... we just needed to stop. With a slight fever from Haydn, a hungry Eli, and Mateo with itchy eyes and a much needed bathroom break, it was sooo time to pull over!

Oh, and by the way... Haydn's favorite word from the vacation was "Albert"! Anytime she sees someone now who is bald and a lil dark.. hehe... their name is automatically Albert!

Our day in Washington was short but nice The weather turned out to be pretty amazing and not as hot as it had been in Oregon. the drive up was so pretty and full of green and life.

It's been awhile

I know... I'm really bad with keeping up with this blog.. but now that I'm officially on disability/maternity leave :) I have more time! Yeah! I'm 2 weeks away from my due date and I am hoping the baby will come early! That would be amazing! She is sitting so low in my belly and I am just so uncomfortable!

Anyway... Here are some recent pictures of Haydn when we went up to Oregon and was on our way to Washington. I'll post the Zaporteza boys tomorrow :)

12 Week Countdown

Hi again!

12 weeks left! woohoo! I feel ssooo good this time around. I have more energy, I'm eating better but have my occasional cinnamon roll :). I just went to the Doc on Tuesday... and it was time to weigh in... uugghhh!!! I was scared... But happy to announce I gained 6lbs this month :) I was quite proud of myself considering how much junk I ate.. hehe... But still eating better this time around... I know.. bazarre.

My tummy grew 6 centimeters this month too... Thinking back this month, I could actually feel myself getting bigger and stretching more than I have already. I feel bigger and I look way bigger. At work, when people come in , they are starting to notice I'm preggy now... It's about time too!

So my total weight gain... 18lbs! I'm really proud of myself... Now let's see how I do with the home stretch... Officially 7 months preggy!

OH... and the name game begins... I hate this part!

15 Week Countdown

This pregnancy is a breeze! It really went by so fast! But I am looking forward to it ending soon. I know... so soon! But I know what kind of damage is ahead of me if I keep craving Cinnamon Rolls from Cinnabon! OMG! They are really amazing!

Topic of the day... Cravings! They are truly an amazing gift from God! hehe. I didn't have any cravings with Haydn but this one... man oh man... if I hear something appetizing, I have to have it! Like cinnamon rolls for example... Cinnabon is pretty good, BC Cafe was amazing, homemade ones.... they filled the craving... not so much amazing!haha. I went from fruit to pure sugary calorie filled desserts! I really hope my 12 lb weight gain doesn't turn to 30lbs by June 17th... my next appt! Eeks!

second topic of the day has to do with haydn... I am so thankful for Haydn's school and her teachers! Especially Mrs. Flo. Not only is she seasoned, we see eye to eye in regards to God and she supports whatever Jp and I decide on how to raise Haydn and I truly feel like she was meant to impact our lives so much more than just her taking care of Haydn. Anyway... she brought up the topic of setting boundaries for Haydn. I don't know if you know, but Haydn is one of the most friendliest babies ever! Yeah... it's cute, but is it fun when she runs up to people in the mall and says hi to everyone and sometimes ask people to carry her... NO! It scares me with how open she is to anyone... Friends and family, by all means, but total strangers... she doesn't know any better, so we are starting to "Set Boundaries"

Now how the heck are we gonna do that! Sheesh... Right now, we are teaching her she can only kiss Mama and Dad on the lips, anyone else, she can only hug or kiss on the cheek... but she gets a kick out of kisses on the forehead. When she kisses you on the forehead, you can get a little giggle out of her too! How do you guys "Set Boundaries" First time parents... a concept we knew we were gonna have to learn, but we didn't think so soon.

Sea world

Since Jp has been having to go to San Diego for work, Haydn and I tag along and go to Sea World. I think I was more excited to take her than she was.. hehe.. but she will love it sooner than later.

Her favorite part of the whole park was to touch the Sting Ray's! She would reach in the water pet it and then clap for herself making all the nasty salt water splash everywhere! So nasty, but so cute to see her so excited. I was shocked she wasn't scared, but I was happy :)

I thought she would love Pet's Rule, but she liked the stage more than the animals. hehe

16 Week Countdown

6 months down... 4 more to go! woohoo! Sept 8th... come already! Being sick doesn't help either! I'm coughing all night and can't sleep, not cuz of the baby, but because of being sick!

I really need to upload some pictures! Haydn has 11 teeth now, can say two words and have them make sense and starting to say 2 syllable words! I love it but I hate that she is getting so big.

She tells me when she is ready to go poopoo and wants to sit on the toilet, but then her butt gets shy. As soon as I put a diaper on her, she goes and then tells me again she went poopoo. She is one funny baby! I applaud her efforts :)

Ok... so I went to the dr on monday... and i gained more weight! eekks.... I gained 5 lbs in 1 month. I don't remember if that is good or bad... but I think I gained a total of 12 lbs so far... This is going to end badly... I already know it... And... I'm so pregnant! I can't hide this bump for the lift of me. Alright... talk to you guys later! Tootles

19 Week countdown

I personally like to see the numbers go down rather than to see it go up... cause I know my weight is gonna go way up and those are enough numbers to count! haha

You should be so lucky those aren't my feet! haha. Anyway... This will be my little diary where I will air out all my secrets I usually like to keep regarding how much weight I will gain. Hopefully to keep me more conscious of what I eat cause I'm gonna have to tell all of you! I shouldn't have had my Strawberry Cream Pie Shake from Sonic! Eeks! But was pretty good.

So... I am 21 weeks preggy with 19 more weeks to go and have gained..... 7 lbs!!!! When I was preggy with Haydn, I could gain 5 lbs in 1 week with no effort.... so we will see how this one goes. haha

Another thing.... prenatal vitamins! what the heck... I have to take stool softener with them like everyday cause I am being harassed from the inside.... Let's just say, it's not a pretty sight. haha

Anyway... till next week... our first wedding is on Saturday and it is going to be smashingly beautiful... I already know it! And they love Haydn so it can't get any worse :)

20 Weeks Preggy

Hi Everyone! So I'm 20 weeks preggy today! Woohoo! I'm not sick anymore and time is flying. Thankfully... I still fit in my regular pants too. This pregnancy is a little harder but I'm not as conscious about it or I don't realize my growing belly as much. Haydn kisses it and says baby, but other than than, I think she just likes the extra cushion :)

This baby kicks and moves so much. Don't know what we are having yet. But maybe, just maybe, we will get another ultrasound in the next month.

Haydn.... she is growing so fast! I love it and hate it. Not really growing in height... haha, but she can say so much now! She says and knows what Boba is too! When she sees me when I pick her up at school, she runs to me and says my name. Oh boy! I really love it! Hopefully we will get to sign her up for swimming lessons next month. I wanted to do April, but good thing I didn't cause it keeps raining.

She loves pasta or anything with noodles. She tries to use a spoon and is successful, but when she gets frustrated, she sticks to what she knows... her hands... lol!

I still need to get back on the computer cause there are so many pictures and so little time. How the pants got off her legs and at her face, I have no clue!

Being pregnant does not help with my clumsiness! Seriously, I will spill drinks, drop food, walk into doors and the list goes on and on... but the worst so far... I fell down the stairs!

It wasn't as horrible as it sounds, I just missed a step and fell on my butt, and slid down a few. More funny than anything, but my arm and hip are soar! LOL!

Me and the baby feel fine, but we are gonna check just in case.

It's official... with insurance changes and everything, we kind of put the dr's visits on hold, but we are back on track and the baby is as healthy as can be! We had our ultrasound yesterday and we found out we are 17 weeks preggy and our due date is September 8th!

Still get nauseus at night but doesn't last as long as it usually does. the baby kept moving and spinning so we couldn't find out what it's gonna be. Boy or girl.... still up in the air. It kept hiding too. so weird. I feel good though. I kind of figured the baby was past the 1st trimester cause its been fluttering and i could have sworn i felt it kick me once or twice. baby manalili... can't wait to meet you!

Anyway... at work now so I have to get back. Talk to you guys soon.

Oh, computer is still down and the loft is a hot mess! major construction zone!

These were Haydn' giveaway's. I loved them. I didn't want to give candy away because Haydn' couldn't eat it, so we gave away Cakies Hairclips to the girls and Super hero masks to the boys. Of course, bubbles were included for both cause Haydn hearts bubbles =).

It was a cold and rainy Saturday that we picked for Haydn's first birthday... But we got through it. With the flu on attack and everyone getting sick, Haydn's party was a kid's party that turned out to be a pretty fun adult party =).

The color themes matched her invitations which I totally loved!

Thank you to everyone for her presents! She loves every single one of them. Thanks Ruby for her shirt! I loved it on her =)

She had so much fun! She had a short 30 minute nap at the party, but she kept going strong... But the next day! haha.

She slept at 8PM and woke up at 10AM! Went back to sleep at 11PM and woke up again at 1PM and kept napping the rest of the day. With a mishap at Roy's... but we'll save that for another post.

Oh, and if she gave you this look... don't worry, she give it to everyone. haha.

She is getting better

... after a visit to her Pediatrician.

So last week on Monday night, Jp and I made our way to the ER again because her fever was well over 104 and threw up. She has had a fever for 2 nights prior so we didn't want to wait any longer. Anyway, the ER told us she had a UTI. They checked with a cathatar and sure enough, they came back saying something was in there. They gave her two shots and prescribed her some anti-biotics. After so many days passing by, she still had a 103 fever every night. Let's just say Jp and I were not happy.

I made her follow up appointment after the holidays because the office was closed. We had the urine culture results faxed over to Dr. Perez's office and the results said negative for the UTI test! I was so upset. Dr. Perez said the white blood cell count was a little abnormal, whatever that means, but definately no UTI. I could not believe my ears... I was so upset!

After her pedi checked her ears, both ears are infected. and they had gotten worse because it went untreated for so many days already. She was misdiagnosed and it makes me so mad! After one day of being on the right antibiotics, she had no more fevers, and she was able to go back in her crib for the first time in 7 days. I don't know why, but how does a baby just over 2 feet long take up a King Size Bed! Blows my mind. She hated sleeping with us too but we felt better so we can monitor her fever.

She is back to her normal sleeping schedule of 9 to 7 no more fevers and her ears are getting treated and that makes me happy =).

Oh, and operation

is just around the corner... I can't wait!

Late Fall Welcome

So, being a first time parent, I often don't remember to celebrate certain things... like her first Pumpkin Patch. Maybe I shouldn't really blame it on not remembering, but start really blaming it on laziness... I know... I know.

But to defend myself, she was sick for 3 weeks, in and out of the ER and on all kinds of antibiotics... I felt it was appropriate to not go out... So I tried to bring it in. After she got sick, I bought some Halloweenish, Fallish, Thanksgivingish vegies and she loved playing with them!

I hope she isn't going to be mad at me when she's like 10 for not taking her.. Oh well, I have to really make it up next year =)

Oh, and by the way... Haydn now has 6 teeth!

We have been so busy planning her birthday, I haven't really had time to post... She is getting a little sick again but we are hoping it passes sooner than later. 10 months

I cannot believe how much time flies... She is getting big super fast!

She has been sick and hasn't been wanting to eat.. She is a little under 19 lbs... lost 1lb, but that's ok :) She has been slowly getting better so I'm glad.

Haydn's BM's are a little on the watery side and has been since Sunday morning. Yesterday, she went 7 times... Not good :( She's been waking up at night around 2:30 too. Help! I think it's teething... but any advice will be taken... My poor baby!

Haydn usually sleeps between 9 and 9:30 but for the past 2 nights, she has been sleeping around 11:00. And that is with us letting her cry herself to sleep. I don't know what is happening to her sleeping schedule, but I will blame it on her teeth and he new found limbs. Hopefully it is just a little phase and she will be back to her normal 9 to 6:30 sleeping schedule. Anyway, it's Wednesday... half-way through!

Still looking for a daycare/babysitter for Haydn. We think we found one and she really liked it. It's a nonprofit daycare and is in Diamond Bar. Super close to my mom, but not that close to me... So still looking and praying...

As soon as Jp comes home, she screams with so much excitement! It so adorable how little girls adore their dad's.

She loves Football. As soon as it is on TV, she actually sits and watchs. I think she likes the music of it more, but never the less, she is entertained.

Haydn is 9 months now and she is growing so fast! She has got to be around 20 pds now and is so tall!

She crawls, walks along the couch, speaks, starting to throw fits... don't know about that one. Loves Cheerios or O's from Trader Joe's. She tries to be funny and loves to walk around with you holding her.

She also has this new thing that we call ugly face. haha. It's so funny. She does it on cue. Hopefully if I have time, I'll upload the video tomorrow.

Here she is, cast and all, on the move. I wonder how fast she'll go without the cast?!!?? I think we're in trouble..

Jo and Al's Wedding Shower

So last week some time, I dropped off our cameras to get serviced just to get ready for the wedding and they came back perfect! Next on the list was to have lunch with Auntie Michelle. After lunch we went up to meet some of Auntie's co-workers and Haydn fell in love! Especially with LP... Cool nickname right!

Anyway, I was telling her how Haydn loves the Nuvering and the Prius commercial. Not so much for the product, but for the songs. hehe.. Anyway...

She has been teething and so when she was taking her nap, she woke up crying so I went to pick her up and she fell asleep in my arms.

Daddy came home and she was still sleeping... Next thing you know, the nuvaring commercial comes on and she starts dancing her butt off. Commercial ended, and so did she, she went right back to sleep!. haha. I totally wish i got that on camera, but I didn't. A couple minutes later, she woke up and started laughing. haha. I don't know where she got her personality, but I love it! She is sooo much fun.

Anyway, this was taken when she was like 4 or 5 months, I don't remember... but this is when we discovered she loved music... and dance. She is bananas for music now!

JP and I have been married for over 2 years, and we haven't bought dining room chairs yet! 1 part we haven't found any we really liked, and 2 parts being able to afford the chairs of my dreams...

Till Now! A long time in the waiting... but we got them! And I am so pleased. We bought the Bertoia Wire Chairs! I must say, buying these chairs have really got me on the home decorating kick... I think my next purchase is going to be a table for the entry way of our little abode. I did find one that Jp and I both really liked from Urban... Hopefully :)

My Poor Baby

I'm not sure if you guys know yet, but Haydn is out of crawling commission. Her left arm has a spiral fracture. Yup... it's broken.

We really just need a lot of prayers for the very near future. We have a lot of thinking to do and a lot of praying to do. This has been such an emotional and mentally draining battle.

She is still happy and moving around as if nothing is wrong. A lot of the time we have to hold her back from wanting to do so much but she just physically can't.

Praise God I am able to be with her while she is in healing.

So the book is getting super good! I never thought of myself as someone who really loved to read. I'm a slow reader, every time I open the book, I have to read a few paragraphs back, blah blah blah. I can think of a bunch of reasons why I don't read.

Not anymore though! With the Twilight books, I have really enjoyed them! I think I'm even reading faster! haha... maybe not, but I'm proud of myself for picking them up and getting lost in the world of High School love.

Ruby... Tiff... or anyone... what other books do you recommend? I need to keep this new found love going :)

Good Morning

So Haydn has slept in her crib since we took her home from the hospital. The past couple of weeks, she has been sleeping from 8 to 9 and wakes up between 6 and 7. She has been such a pleasure to be around! Seriously, she is so funny.

She is starting to crawl now and when falls, she falls and hits her face on toys, the floor, or anything in front of her. I think she is like me because she has a bruise on her cheek and now a small one over her right eyebrow. Since she likes to jump on my legs, I have about 5 tiny bruises on my right thigh and 4 on my left... Oh boy... She really is exactly like me!

This is her when we take her out of the crib. Mostly all smiles, she'll have an off morning here and there, but so happy to see us in the morning.

Anyway, good night all! We passed the mid-week hump!

I was completely terrified of the plane ride! Haydn has never been a plane before, but I am now know Haydn can handle plane rides. She didn't cry once! Made friends on the plane, snacked, slept, and woke up in NY... I was so happy!

Our first day in NY, we headed straight to Manhattan, and short ride on the LIRR.

As you all may know... Jp and I plan our travels around food... Yup! The delicious food in Manhattan is like no other... From street vendors to fancy restaurants, this is the place to go for all different kinds of food!

Getting into Penn Station, we decided to walk all the way up to Central Park... but a short stop to B&H Photo... If you need any photography items... this is seriously the place to go! The best prices and according to JP, the offer awesome customer service!

OH.. and if anyone plans of vacationing with us.. Family Portraits.. are a set-up. Off camera lighting and everything... what can I say, Jp has a special place in his heart for OCL :)

I really appreciate Haydn's PPB bag... I was able to chnge her diaper right before Central Park...

Before we actually made our way in Central Park... we stopped at our favorite pizza spot. Rigoletto Pizza! Seriously, the best in NY, at least according to us.

Central Park... like the size of a city... was beautiful. It was such a nice day out and people were out and about...

Short stop to feed mini me... she loves her carrots! This kind and

The time change from LA to NY was awesome! It was around 10:30 when we were starting to head back to Long Island which was 7:30 LA time. It was perfect.

And I didn't realize how long she was like this, but she became undone :(

7:30 LA time, 10:30 NY time, Haydn was still wide awake! haha. She loved the trains, lights, and buses... Buses I don't know why, but she got excited every time she saw one. haha. Maybe cause of the the sound it makes. hah

And maybe she likes public transportation too cause no car seat necessary :)

Father's Day, 6 month birthday, and summer came all on the same day! Oh.. she is so like me, we are gonna have sunglass finding problems in the future! No nose, hi cheek bones.. oh no!

Haydn is growing at lightning speed. I can't believe how much she has grown. She can sit up all by herself. I can literally walk away and come back and she is still sitting there. It's so awesome. She loves green beans and carrots. Not so much pees for some reason anymore. Oh, but for breakfast, she now eats oatmeal and prunes. haha. Loves the prunes. She just gets a little spoonful mixed with the oatmeal, but prunes... I don't know..

She gives you kisses on the cheek and the occasional kiss on the mouth. She always gives me a kiss every morning as we walk to the kitchen to prepare her breakfast. I love it. But her favorite person to kiss is herself in the mirror. haha.

The nursing has significantly slowed down. I nurse at night, but only once during the day. It's just not enough for her anymore which is cool with me. Do I miss it, yes... do I still try, yes... but she just gets really fussy so she loves her bottles :)

I still have to schedule her 6 month appt. (Note to self) Our family trip to New York is fast approaching and we can't wait! Thank you to Ruby at Cakies for making me a custom order! She will be sure rockin the crown in Central Park!

Officially Part-Time

Hello friends. Officially part-time for the next 3 months, so I have extra time to blog, clean, cook, and everything else a wife does. Haydn is fast asleep so I can show you how we have been spending her life at 5 months.

For Memorial Day, Martinez's and Manalili's packed the Pilot and ate Korean BBQ. Weird experience eating with a baby. All you can eat really isn't all you can eat anymore. We kept holding her and then tried to keep her in the car seat and she didn't want to stay. Then I fed her in the car and changed her diaper... Then sat down and ate but already lost my appetite. I probably left it in the car. Still always a great time with the Martinez bunch.

Next way to celebrate the month was with her very own walking/bouncy toy thing. She loves this darn thing! I think she played in it till almost 11. It's amazing how much this toy allows them to use their legs and muscles. Not she turn in circles, but when she can really start walking, the toy spins and walks in circles also. It's like the jail she always wanted. Not to mention she can eat and lick everything in sight. Thanks Lola and Lolo for her toy. She loves it!

Last but not least, some much needed R&R in Vegas. Well, for me, Haydn, and Hazel at least. Jp, AJ, and Loyd were working their butts off creating an awesome video for the newly married couple.

Haydn did so good in the car. She slept the whole way and when we got there, she woke up smiling. Got back in the hotel room, and put herself back to sleep. I love my little girl!

Then Jp got picture happy and woke her up. I think he actually scared her. haha

I'll do a seperate post of our first time in the pool. haha. Let me just say, it was a very sad attempt! haha. We were so not prepared. Didn't bust out the camera as much as I would have liked, but that's okay... Thanks Hazel and Loyd for another great weekend together! Vacation with you is fun!

5-months

For her 5-month birthday, she celebrated by sleeping 10-hours straight!!! From 9:30 to 7:30. I woke up at 5am so bored cause I slept for so long! haha. Really, the last two night have been horrible! She woke up every 2 hours crying! Apparently she was trying to tell us she was starving and I had no idea.

So last night, from the advice from Celle... the best advice ever! Jp gave her a bath and I nursed her like normal but fed her baby food and waited till she wanted to stop rather than limiting what she ate. I didn't realize she could eat so much. Anyway... 30 minutes later, she was ready to sleep and sleep she did! Praise God!!!

My First Mother's Day

was so much fun. We woke up early so we can go to the Mission Inn mother's day brunch. It was so amazing! The best pancakes and waffles I've had in such a long time! But as we were getting ready, Haydn was holding my gift hostage!

It was the cutest thing. Jp knows she would be the first thing I look at whenever I wake up so it was the best place to put my first mother's day gift.

She obviously thought it was breakfast... hehe

So she had a fever last night. It went to 102 then went down after some Tylenol. She wouldn't sleep unless someone was holding her. Help! What can we do. I know 102 isn't that bad, but I don't want it to go to 105 or something like that...

Jp has been sick all last week, then I got sick, and the Haydn. With Haydn and I feeling better finally Saturday evening, we thought it was okay for all of us to get out Sunday and get some fresh air. Some much needed fresh air! We have been passing each other's germs for too long.

She's my little harajuku toy :)

Haydn wasn't pulling the flower, she was yanking the life out of it and trying to make it lunch!

I'm still taking Dayquil and I still have the sniffles. Jp is taking his prescription drugs and Haydn has been a little on the fussy side, but I'm hoping she will be back to her normal self. But... we are definately getting better. Swine flu has not attacked us thank God!

So Jp and I sold our Canon 40D cameras and upgraded to the Canon 5D Mark II... They are awesome. I'm still learning how to upload them cause we have to upload the pictures in lightroom. Don't really know how to use it yet...

This camera is awesone. It's full-frame and takes 1080P HD video!!! so awesome!!! Once jp shows me how to upload these pictures and video.. I'll upload.. till then.. tootles!

It's Enfamil

Tried just the formula to see if it was that... and it was. She has had enfamil before, but can't anymore. I will try with my milk again and try Similac... we will see. I'm just so lazy to pump an extra time for her food. Plus my milk is needed for her to drink... oh well... I'll update you more later.

A huge rash on her face!!!

She did not like the rice cereal with my milk so I tried it with formula and she loved it! I mean really loved it. She was gunning for the spoon... But then she broke out on her face. It went away after 2 hours, but I have asked around and they say it's normal. She didn't cry and was still laughing.

What do you guys think?

She has had rice cereal, she's had formula before when I had to supplement before. Don't know... we are going to try again tomorrow night and see if the same thing happens again.

4 Months and Counting

So little Haydn is not so little anymore :(. Maybe I'm being drama, but her flirting with boys is a sign of trouble to come!

Wednesday started off with a wellness visit to the good ol Dr. Perez. He really has the magic touch. He is really good at his craft. Like I said before 24 inches and 13 pounds later, she is officially the leader of Team Fat Baby! Her DC (double chin) is in full affect.

The clothes on and ready to go... here come the shots... all 5 of them again..

Praise God she didn't get a fever and had no diarrhea. Just a very long nap at the Luna's. We have been wanting to visit Titus for so long, but just waiting for him to be ready to receive visitors... He is like little Jacob

Family of 6??!?

With her 4 month bithday, along came rice cereal... we waited for Jp to come back from his business trip so she had her first bite on Saturday... She already knew something was going to be different... we started off with the plastic bib...

Here we go...

Survey says... SHE HATED IT!!! We tried again the 2nd time, she cried and fussed after every bite. You would think she would love food... but we always have time... I'm in no hurry to make her eat it... So we will keep trying like every other day or so... We already have whole wheat and oats waiting for her. Maybe she needed ketchup.. hehe.. She was definately interested in the spoon... not so much the food.

After a Saturday feast, we had our normal cupcake run on Sunday at The Shoppes. It was a hot day but fun time with the family... She was so over the sun by the end of the day.

Keep cool everyone! Enjoy a cool walk during the evening. We did that today with Haydn and she was so comfortable, she fell asleep in her stroller for the first time!

It was such a busy week! So glad it's over... Hadyn's scalp was slightly attacked by cradle crap. But she has so much hair, it doesn't matter.. hehe... well, with this hair style... it looks bad, but really... it's not that bad..

Jp went on a short business trip so we are so happy to have him back. Haydn and Jp are having father daughter date... hehe... I work this Saturday but weekends are so chill...

Family Day

Sunday is officially our family fun day. I work every other Saturday so Sunday is a day that I really appreciate. So last Sunday weshopped at Dos Lagos and ate some much needed comfort food... Good ol burgers and fries... oh yeah, and their Apple Pie milk shake... So good!

I have to admit, it is super hard to get up on Sunday morning for me because I know Jp is there to get her when she wakes up, so I try to take advantage and sleep in.. till about 8. I don't know how mom's do it.. I guess it's just practice. But yes, I do love our Sundays...

Oh yeah... The Counter at Dos Lagos... I got to eat a regular burger that I have been wanting and Jp ate a chicken burger cause he doesn't eat red meat anymore...

Last Sunday was such a nice day... Haydn loves being outside and getting fresh air :)

After a nice day of having fun in the sun... we gave her a much needed bath...

And that's right folks... she found her toes... so cute... she was eating them the other day. hehe... Jp showed me how to black out her goods...

After her bath, Jp and I had dinner and she just hangs out in her Bumbo seat till we are done...

Her double chin is living large... but what can you do... I love it! She is such a happy baby. I can't wait for our first time to sit around the table, and have Haydn eat dinner with us.. Rice Cereal, here we come!

Hungry Baby!

Okay... since I have been back at work, Haydn and I have a feeding routine. Whatever I pump (still nursing) on Monday during work is what she gets on Tuesday, and what I pump on Tuesday, she gets on Wednesday... so on and so forth...

Okay, so yesterday, Friday, she drank everything I pumped out on Thursday and what I pumped out on Friday... She usually eats like 12 ounces while I'm at work but Friday, she ate almost 17ounces. She barely even easts 12 ounces... but 17!!! Is she growing? Is it a growth spurt? What in the world... Is she gonna eat that much now on... I can barely even get her to finish a 4ounce bottle in one sitting. I takes her almost 1 1/2 hours to finish 4 ounces.

So this is my question to all you mom's who nurse... How do I trick my body to produce more milk?

I pump every 3 hours and get 4 ounces every single time. I think I need to get like 5-6 ounces now.... At least I think so just in case. what do I do to get more milk to come out? Help!!!

Fresh Baked

Haydn fresh out of the oven! She looks so different with so much personality. She gets shy around JP. She loves to hide her face when she is on my shoulder. She sings with Jp and just found her knees and so quickly lost interest in her toes. She is so different!

First Quarter of her life

Three months came and went... So many milestones have passed that are so simple but fascinate us so much.

Thank you Mateo for her Mets shirt... It was so cute on her. A little accessory to top it off.

Her first smile, first bath, first poop, first poop that reached her neck :), and the list goes on and on... My favorite was the first time she was with Lola. Lola babysat her for a quick 2 hours. she saw me and started crying... Once I had her in my arms, all fussiness stopped. She missed me.. or my smell... Either way, I fell in love. Her first burst of laughter was pretty sweet too.

For Jp... she only really laughs for him. She laughs for other people, but when she is with him, it's different. She puts him on the changing table and they can talk for a good 30 minutes. She'll talk and laugh for him in a way that she doesn't do for anyone else.

I can't wait for more firsts... She really is Daddy's girl and Jp is wrapped around her little finger. His song to her or her song to him is by Carrie Underwood "All American Girl" If you haven't heard it, you gotta! It's such an adorable story that I'm sure Jp will be experiencing Lord willing...

A couple more firsts to commemorate her 3-month birthday... our surprise for Jp... I taught MG how to use the camera and had our Mets shirts on to celebrate her 3-months. I love her so much!

Up and Running!

Yeah... We have our computer back now... SO much has happened since I really updated... We were picking up our monitor at Apple... Such a happy day for us!

I'm back at work and Haydn comes with me everyday. She is so cute! She has adjusted well with leaving by a certain time and coming home around 6:20. She is really good. 300 more hours and I get to take my FMLA :) and spend more time with her at home...

She has grown out of her 0-3 month outfits and has moved on to 3-6 month clothes... Length is perfect but a lil bug when it comes to the width... This is the last time she wore her 0-3 while playing in the ocean.

Jp finds out today if he can work from home on Fridays... I pray he gets to stay home on Friday so Haydn can hang out with him and bond with him on those days...

MG's boyfriend opened a "Doggy Kiosk" at The Shoppes @ Chino Hills... It is doing well... If you have a puppy, buy some cute doggy gear and support your local small business owners :)

Okay... So Jp and I go to the Apple Store and pick up our Screen and it works and everything... Had a nice dinner and Vince's Spaghetti. We get home, plug in the screen and the whole Mac Pro freezes up, the fan goes crazy and now the whole computer is out... For now at least... So weird... Jp hasn't really looked at it cause he was been trying to put Haydn to sleep... but seriously, if it's not one thing, it's another...

What is God trying to teach us? As of right now... not really clear... but to not be frustrated... but the lesson has not been learned in this... Totally sucks.

Haydn love might have to wait another 7 to 10 more business days...

Okay... So we bought a monitor already without taking our's to Apple... We went today and our monitor had Apple Care or was still fixable for free! It saved us like $500!!! We canceled our order and Apple is sending us one in 5 days... A great time to save money in a time of a recession, isn't it! Way Cool!

And I think Haydn is totally on going out overload! She was in such a bad mood today!

2-Month Checkup

Boy am I tired! Started off by feeding the little girl at 6:30...

She has the ultimate bedhead! haha... at least she makes me laugh so early. Something to look forward too.

We had to get up early because not only was it Haydn's 2-month check-up, but we had to go to the lab really early so Jp could be poked by needles and get his blood drawn. One down, one more to go :(

Next on out list.. Haydn's doctors appt... We were trying to get her to smile a little... she had no idea what was in store!

Our pediatrician, Dr. Perez, referred by the Joco's and the Luna's, is awesome! He is like the dog whisperer for kids... She was getting cranky and when he came in, she was looking at him and she just stopped crying... He is pretty awesome, we really like him.

Haydn now...

She is 23 inches long, 10.1 pounds and her head is now 37cm... Maybe she is getting to be more like mommy..hehe

15 minutes and 5 shots later..

She was all tears... but after awhile... she was okay... whimpering the rest of the day, but not screaming at the top of her lungs

Next stop, we went to go visit her second cousin Emilee. She is so cute and so little and cute! Such a coincidence! Emilee and Haydn have the same outfit :) And Haydn was wearing it before we changed her...

Enough adventure for the day, time to go home :)

When we got home... she had a little diarrhea, but nothing too horrible... She was Little Miss Giggles because she was in front of her favorite thing...

The little drool monster was back

It came and went!

Jp and I worked all day on Saturday, we didn't get to really spend time with us. By the time we were together as a family, she was ready to go to sleep!

We did a lot of this all day!

Haydn, we will celebrate your 2-month birthday... don't worry. She gets her boatload of shots on Friday.. I'm scared... haha

I Heart My Family

Valentine's Day was so much fun!!! Nothing was really planned... we were kind of goin with the flow... and the weather. Weather was good so we had a good day. It was so fun celebrating with Haydn. Our love oozes out of our pores for her so we had to take her with us! Thank you for the coat Neen... It is so cute on her!

Grandma and Grandpa got her a little present too! She is a girly girl in the making... Not sure when we are going to pierce her ears, but these are definately going in one day... Thanks grandma and grandpa

We ended up going to the Orange County MarketPlace. I haven't been for years, it was cheap and the sun was shining :). I have been stalking these trumpette shoes for at least 9 months now... I haven't found anyone who carries them and we totally saw them and paid less than half price! I love her new Andy Tracks! Bought a couple baby legs and it put a smile on my face!

After a full day of walking and house shopping (driving around and dreaming in Fullerton) It was time to sleep.

GOOD MORNING... haha... ultimate bedhead!!! haha. I am so not the morning person... ask me to make breakfast, no thank you but with her now, I have to be a morning person. she smiles so much!

But this morning was different. After a good 5 inutes of playing, her face got so serious!

Then you see the strain in her eyes...

Face turns tomato red... oh man... surprise surprise. She pushed for a couple of seconds... and poop got all the way up her belly button and up her leg! I couldn't clean it on my own... so gross

She's like mommy... time to clean me up. haha... right after she was done... all smiles again. haha

So Christian Cruz took our cameras to get cleaned out by Canon... which was way cool...

And cupcake date would have been a good time to test them out... but I forgot it! Haha... totally sucks... so that was one date of memories that will probably slip through the cracks...

Despite the rain... it was pretty nice for the most part of the day :) We are making our way out to buy some cupcakes. We recently did our budget and realized how much money we would be saving if we didn't eat out 5 times a week. This week has been really good, so we are treating ourselves to a small snack.. The besties got to hang out again at the Super Bowl... which came and went. I remember last year we were at our house celebrating the Giants... too bad Arizona didn't win... oh well...

Haydn Now

Had her Dr's appt yesterday... She is now 21 1/2 inches and weighs 8 pounds... I'm waiting for her to be a porker... hopefully she will gain more weight by 2 months... The circumference of her head is 30 CM... Not huge like mine. haha

When she was born, she was 19 1/2 inches and 7.6 pounds... by her first week dr's appt, she was 6.14 so she has gained weight since last dr's appt.

She is good, healthy, strong... still has hairy butt and shoulders... hehe...

That's it... hope everyone had a good Thursday... we had a visitor today... Auntie Nina came over... and I totally forgot my cameraof her bonding with sleepy Haydn and our Golden Spoon adventure... I'll get one next time Neen!

Tuesday Fun

I just realized I haven't had breakfast before almost noon almost everyday! With the night feedings, Haydn and I sleep in till about 10:30 AM and then I don't realize I haven't eaten at it's already noon! With Jp being home this whole week, it has been easier cause I get to take my naps, but he's not the one who feeds at night...

Anyway, we went to IHOP to celebrate Great Grandma's birthday, and that was a task... Having breakfast and being at IHOP by 9AM was not fun! I was so tired... but had to be done!

Her faces are so funny sometimes! She looks at you like your crazy.. haha..

Next stop... Downtown Disney!

After we got it we were gonna sit here... good thing we didn't or we would have been drenched!

And of course... what did Haydn do most of the time? Sleep in her bassinet.

Luke-A-Latte

So awesome! There is a Corner Bakery in Chino Hills now and I wanted to go, but they were doing their testing so we were ready to walk away, but the employee said we should come in and eat for free! So good and made it taste even better... totally free! The pecan pie dessert thing was so good!

After Corner bakery, we went to the Martinez's to get a Luke-A-Latte...

Saturday was pretty fun... still super sick, but had to get out of the house... I have a hard time getting out but I always feel better getting fresh air... Today was Armenia's baby shower and there were a ton of people there...

But what did Haydn do the whole time...

She slept so much, she didn't even get out of her carseat... She just came out to eat... Haydn's bestfriend slept the whole time too

All in all, nice rainy day... still sick so we went home early so I can get some rest. We left with a Thanks-A-Latte... I must say, this baby shower theme was super appropriate...

My daughter's clothes don't fit her anymore... the newborn ones that is... she is so little still, but growing so fast! Auntie Lynette bought this for her on Christmas and she thought these wouldn't fit her for a long time... but she was wrong!

Happy 1-month Birthday

Haydn turned 1-month today! She has changed so much... Her face, her length, her facial expressions... It is so true when people say they grow so fast... Today, I wanted to take Haydn to visit Jp, but I am sick and I was not up for driving all the way to Westwood with the possibility of rain... so our one day trip will have to wait.

We started the day off with a morning stroll around the neighborhood. I was super nice today and had to go outside! We then went to visit Auntie Nissy and her daughter Ella :)

We pretty much lounged at Michelle's house the whole day and waited for Jp to get home. Ruby and Heather paid a nice visit bringing me lunch and cupcakes which are already done!

We then walked home to greet Jp, went to Lola's house for dinner, and came home for bath time... She has to test out the water first or else she'll burst into tears

After the much needed bath, we gave her Mylicon... she is so gassy and probably backed up and not really happy right now.. unfortunately, so we gave her a little help to get it out...

Sorry I was sick Haydn and we couldn't visit Daddy... We will make it up to you next time :)

I Heart Holidays!

Martin Luther King Day gave Jp and get free out of work day! So much fun. We haven't taken Haydn out really... to the mall, the grocery, Babies R us, target... but all pretty local. When Jp brought up the idea of going to Manhattan Beach, I was kind of nervous, but I thought... we can handle this. The thing with that is timing was everything. We both got ready and before we left, fed, burped, and changed her so she can sleep the whole way there... and she did! I was so glad.

Our usually eating spot is The Kettle but we wanted to change it up a bit.

The Kettle is so good, but we went to La Creperie

She did so good! She cried when she needed to be changed and when she wanted to go to sleep, but that was about it. It was such a beautiful day and she seemed to like the fresh air. It has been pretty windy in Corona, so I don't even like taking her on walks in this city, but Manhattan Beach weather was perfect!

Creme Brulee Crepe... So Good!

A little stroll to the pier using The Uppababy! The best investment... We got some really good advice get a stroller that can be a double stroller in the future... We love it.. Thanks to the Quinal's, Zaporteza's, and Joco's!

We ended at the beach but not much playing in the sand... but there is plenty of time for that later!

Where is Haydn? This carrier is called The Ergo Baby. She loves it! He is comfortable, and she is being supported... My sling took a rest in the car.

Her feet were so cute as they were hanging out of the side!

I wanted to end with a family picture, but by the time we got to the car, she needed to be changed and we needed to go to LAX to say bye to Lolo as he goes to the Philippines.

First trip and we brought our camera.. not bad! Tomorrow is her 1-month birthday... I have some simple things in store.

Alright...

I wasn't sure if I wanted to start a blog about our family's goings on... but the hubby won't let me post too many family pics on the business blog, so I couldn't resist. It hit me I needed to start a blog when our good friends at The Martinez's gave Haydn newborn onesies on the day she was born and now don't fit her!

I was so sad when her legs were bent because she was restricted. Oh well... I'm hoping I can capture our lives and share it with our friends... So if you can... please remind me to bring our camera around!

Last one for now.. Haydn and Jp fart and sleep the same... It's so weird!
